Relation between Reflection Coefficient (S) and Input Impedance (Z) is Bilinear Transformation.
Mapping of Bilinear Transformation is utilized in Smith Chart.
It overplots Z loculses onto S plane.

There is no need to calculate Bilinear Transformation of complex number.

See http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Smith+chart (sorry, but in this case I just couldn't resist). The first result I get is the Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smith_chart which looks pretty good to me. The second result http://www.microwaves101.com/encyclopedias/smith-chart-basics also looks good.
