Voltage dependent parameters in Spectre simulation
Sep 28th, 2018, 7:38am

Hi, I am trying to make some model which uses voltage-dependent parameters with user-defined function in Spectre language. But I cannot find any clues to do such thing in spectre, is it even possible?

I know that there is VCVS or VCCS in Spectre, but what I am trying to do is use the output of the user-defined function in PWL resistors or capacitors.
This means that the output type of the function should be parameter.

In addition, I want to have array parameter which could simplify my code for several parameters to be used in the function. Is it possible?

Write the model in Verilog-A.

Spectre. Verilog-AMS is a built-in feature of Spectre, and most other simulators designed for analog and mixed-signal ICs.

There are a lot of example Verilog-A models on Verilog-AMS. You can find a how-to on modeling a simple nonlinear component in Varactors.
