Order of the DAC is one bit more than that of a ADC in a delta sigma converter
Jun 12th, 2018, 2:56am

I have seen in some publications that the the order of the DAC in the feedback loop of a delta-sigma converter is one more than that of the ADC in the forward path. (for >1 bit ADCs). For example if the ADC has 10 bits, then the DAC has 11 bits.
Any particular reason for it?
