Integrator Leakage (finite op gain) impact on 2nd order SDM?
Oct 17th, 2017, 11:28am

The impact of integrator leakage on 1st order sdm is clear. Any conclusion on its impact on 2nd order SDM from leaky 1st and 2nd integrator?

Regards,
Neo

Due to leaky integrator, the low freq response of integrator gets affected (becomes flat from the expected -20dB/decade slope) - this consequently affects the NTF of the SDM, which also becomes flat instead of having 20dB/decade slope, so overall, the noise shaping gets afftected in low freq range...should be similar in case of 2nd order as well.
