Problems when increasing the frequency in ring oscillator
Jul 01st, 2017, 4:21pm

Why?
When i increased the frequency the output distorted.
The circuit works properly when the frequency is less than 1Ghz, when the frequency passes 1Ghz

Hi,

Your information is too little, and it is difficult to get a conclusion from the figure you attached. Generally when you increase the current in the ring oscillator, the frequency will be increased linearly (almost), but you need to consider if your ring oscillator is CMOS inverter, current-starving inverter or current-steering inverter with diode clamp based. The load capacitor is different, and you need to look at the settling time.
