Hi All,

I'm working on Cadence IC616 with UMC40LP technology & using Calibre for DRC. I've encountered following DRC error.

POLY1 must be covered by N+ or P+ implant layer
Exclude AA_CELL_MARK, HR and MR layers

I've turned ON the following switches Since it's a block level Design.

DRC UNSELECT CHECK L2_DENSITY // AL_RDL density checking
DRC UNSELECT CHECK POLY_DENSITY // PO1 density checking
DRC UNSELECT CHECK DIFF_DENSITY // DIFFUSION density checking

Follow the attachment for more details.....

Please do let me know how to handle this DRC...

The DRC violation is for the poly segment connecting PMOS and NMOS gates. You can add/ extend P+ and N+ implant layers between the MOS devices, such that they are touching. This will cover all poly layers by either P+ or N+ implant.
