Import of gds file into cadence for inductor
Jan 25th, 2017, 1:34am

Hello all,
I am trying to import my inductor model gds file into cadence virtuoso.
I created the symbol and spectre view and edited the CDF file also.
I could see the layout of my inductor, but when I am using this inductor in any circuit. The simulations are failing. It gives following errors in CIW window:

"ERROR (OSSHNL-116): Unable to descend into any of the views defined in the view list, 'spectre cmos_sch cmos.sch schematic veriloga', for the

instance 'I0' in cell 'induv'. Either add one of these views to the library 'Cadence',

cell 'akhendra1' or modify the view list to contain an existing view.

End netlisting Jan 24 19:14:21 2017

ERROR (OSSHNL-514): Netlist generation failed because of the errors reported above. The netlist might not have been generated at all, or the generated netlist could be corrupt. Fix the reported errors and regenerate the netlist."

Please give some suggestions.
I followed the procedure from a document downloaded from this site.

From the error, it sounds as if you haven't created the spectre view of the inductor (which I assume is cell akhendra1). Are you sure it exists? Typically it would just be a copy of the symbol.

Without knowing the details of what you've actually done (if you think you've done this), it's hard to know what you've done incorrectly.

Regards,

Andrew.
