Phase Shifter Design with a Branch Line Coupler
May 22nd, 2016, 5:17pm

Hei,

i want to rebuild a 360 ° Phase Shifter from this paper "A Full-360 Reflection-Type Phase Shifter With Constant Insertion Loss for 2.45 GHz". If you canīt the the Paper on IEEEexplore here is the Link to the circuit of the Phase Shifter Design with a Branch Line Coupler.

https://goo.gl/93Hw0n

The Design:

I took the coupling factor rz = 2

I calculated the series inductor Ls with 2.354 nH and then the optimale Rp with 80 Ohm. The solution of ZB1 = 50 Ohm, ZB2 = 25 Ohm, Zt = 25 Ohm, Zt/2 = 12.5 Ohm and ZA = 25 Ohm.

I use the varactor diode from skyworks smv 1245

Afterwards I simulate the circuit in ADS. But my Problem is the structure of the circuit. Can you help me with the correct circuit. I simply do not achieve 360°  >:( What am I doing wrong  :-/ ??
