External Input Variable
Sep 15th, 2014, 6:17pm

Hi,

I am trying to use external input variable as an input to an RC circuit module to incorporate self heating effect in my model. Can anyone help me with this? What i am trying to do exactly is, i have a model in which i want to include an RC circuit module whose input or the source should be Power = V*I already exist in my model.

I would highly appreciate any help regarding this.

Thanks You.

Is your model written in Verilog-A?

You can measure V and I with dependent sources and get the product V*I, but it's a little tricky to get the updated temperature back into the model, if it's a built-in model in the simulator.

If it's Verilog-A, then it's easy to do, and there are examples in a couple open-source models (Mextram, Hicum, etc.).

Thanks for your reply. My model is written in Verilog. I will look into those models.
