Control signal circuits for shift register measurement.
Oct 21st, 2013, 1:45am

Hello,

I am designing a PCB board for my chip now. Since I have a shift register inside the chip, I have to consider how to input the signals from the PCB board to the shift register. Should I use a labview, or are there any circuits I should add on the PCB board? Do I need to make an additional small board to control the shift register? I am not familiar with this part, any comments are appreciated.

   Jacki.

Hello,

I wonder if I can use pattern generator to generate both the clock and data for my shift register.

  Thanks.

Now I am using a MCU to generate the control signals. I don't think pattern generator can work for a shift register with many bits.
