Regions of operation of transistors in cadence

Hello,
      I would like to know what regions 1, 2 ,3 and 4 stand for in cadence!!

Presumably when you say Cadence, you mean Spectre. If so, then you can run 'spectre -h devtype' where devtype is the type of the device you are interested in. Look for the region parameter. It will list out all known regions in order. I believe 1 is the first entry.
