About the Job

You can help PMC-Sierra build the “Internet of Everything”

PMC-Sierra is the premier provider of semiconductor solutions for the Internet infrastructure.
The Mixed Signal Design Group researches and develops analog, RF, and mixed-signal IP for the 3 major areas of data communications:  wireless, wireline, and fiber optics, with data rates up to 100Gbps.

The work is fascinating and challenging, and the Mixed-Signal design team is enthusiastic and ready to mentor recent graduates and junior level candidates who want to become experts in circuit and system design for data communications.
Here are a few of the circuits and systems that you will help develop:
•      ADC, DAC, PLL
•      Clock and Data Recovery
•      Equalizer
•      LO, VCO
•      LNA, Mixer
•      SerDes
•      and many other analog circuits
Qualifications
•         BSEE.  Masters Degree or PhD in Analog, Mixed-Signal or RF IC design preferred
•         Courses or direct experience in the area of mixed-signal CMOS circuit design
•         Understanding of the design of mixed-signal CMOS amplifiers, current mirrors, and bias circuits
•         Knowledge of layout issues
•         Experience with circuit simulators (HSPICE, Spectre, etc)
•         Experience with Cadence Design Environment is an asset
•         Strong written and oral communication skills
•         Ability to work in a team environment
•         Innovative and creative thinker
•         Ability to quickly ramp on new projects
