unipolar and bipolar PWM (Read 5123 times)

unipolar and bipolar PWM

i'm not sure if this is the right topic to enter here, but i just give it a try.

Can anyone explain to me what is bipolar and unipolar PWM? I had search trough the net and couldn't find anything.

Thanks in advance for any help.

bipolar is where Vout(diff) can be +Vdd or -Vdd. No in between point

Unipolar is where Vout is Vdd or zero. One leg is Vdd or zero and the other is -Vdd or zero. Hence Vout(diff) is still swinging between +Vdd and -Vdd. just like bipolar case.
