Doubt regarding PNOISE results obtained from Spectre-RF
Dec 29th, 2009, 6:40am

Hi,
What sort of spectral density is obtained when we do Pnoise analysis.
Is it power spectral density of phase or is it power spectral density of voltage?

Best Regards
Sarfraz

Small signal noise analysis subjected to master steady state large signal analysis give voltage noise, that is, small signal mixing or folding noise.
This is true for any vendor's simulator.

Just we can decompose this voltage noise to AM and PM noises. That's all.

See my appends in the followings.
