Input-referred noise with pnoise analysis
Aug 09th, 2007, 6:42pm

Hi  all,

I've recently been using Spectre, and have been trying to conduct some timedomain pnoise analysis for a comparator I'm designing.  I'm using the iprobe option (with refsideband) to look at the input-referred noise, but when I don't see an option in the results browser that allows me to plot this.  If I use noisetype=source, then I can plot the input-referred noise; however, the results seem to be much larger than one would expect.

Is there a way to use Spectre to calculate the rmsnoise, or do I need to integrate the PSD manually using the calculator?

Thanks for your help.

MC,

Does the Calculator rmsNoise function do what you need?

                                                       Best Regards,
