Title: QRC vs Assura RCX of cadence
Post by cmos.analogvala on May 2nd, 2010, 6:46am

I want to know following things about QRC and Assura RCX tools.

1. Which one is preferred when?

2. Can we use Assura extraction rule files and run QRC?

3. What are the inputs to QRC tool other than GDS-II or ( layout ) for extraction?

Thanking You,
CA

Too late a response (sorry, I've been away for a while, for various reasons):

1. QRC is the replacement for Assura RCX. It's based on the same technology, but has merged in the Fire & Ice cell-level extractor, uses common technology data, and QRC is the maintained and developed tool; Assura RCX only lives on in legacy support mode.
2. Yes.
3. You need the LVS results, and additional data files produced from a process stack. This is covered well in the documentation, so I suggest you read that.

Best Regards,

Andrew.
